Title: Data Center Operations Technician
Location: Reno, NV
Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire
Pay Range: $22 to $24 per hour
What You'll Be Doing:
- Installing server racks, cabling, and data center hardware.
- Performing break/fix troubleshooting and resolving technical tickets.
- Supporting hardware deployments, equipment replacements, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Working in a fast-paced data center environment while following strict safety procedures.
- Collaborating with multiple teams to ensure uptime and operational efficiency.
Must-Have Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (following safety guidelines).
- Comfortable working on ladders and in varying temperatures.
- Willingness to work 12-hour day shifts on a rotating schedule.
- Ability to complete OSHA 10 Construction Certification before start date.
- Strong work ethic, coachability, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Previous data center experience.
- Experience with server hardware, cabling, rack installation, or break/fix support.
- General technical proficiency (computers, email, Excel, ticketing systems).
- Experience in IT support, field service, telecom, or electronics environments.
