Data Center Technician

Seeking a Data Center Technician to support the installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting of low-voltage and telecommunications systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and terminate low-voltage cabling and telecom systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project scopes.
• Install racks, ladder racks, grounding, and bonding systems.
• Install and connect devices including card readers, cameras, and wireless access points.
• Perform basic cable testing and troubleshooting, including fiber.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tools and materials.
• Perform quality installations in accordance with industry and manufacturer standards.
• Follow all company, site, and OSHA safety requirements.
• Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach and work effectively with project teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of relevant low-voltage, telecommunications, or data center experience.
• Basic knowledge of fiber optics, cable testing, and troubleshooting.
• BICSI or industry certifications preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand project requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and work from aerial platforms.
• Ability to crawl, bend, stretch, and work in various environments.
