Primary Purpose:

  • To maintain student records and schedules and to handle all mainframe computer needs for counselors.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution (required)
  • Two years clerical experience.
  • Previous computer experience
Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Proficiency in all general office skills.
  • Be self-motivated, organized, and exhibit good interpersonal and telephone skills
  • Some school experience preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Maintain scheduling and student demographic data on computer.
    • Make changes as directed by counselors or assistant principal(s)
    • Enter new students on the computer.
  • Maintain student grades on computer
    • Collects, organizes, and submits grade scan sheets to Computer Technology Department
    • Receives teachers' grade verification sheets and distributes to teachers
    • Makes grade changes from corrected verification sheets or teacher's reports of completed grades.
  • Orders printouts from Computer Technology Department.
Shared Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Assists with the processing of student folders and transcripts
  • Assists with filing of folders
  • Assists in entering attendance as needed
  • Assists in clinic as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.
