    Job Title: Data Discovery Analyst
    Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
    Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens only

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a Data Discovery Analyst to join our Cybersecurity organization. This individual will be responsible for executing and analyzing enterprise data scans and enhancing data protection capabilities, including the development and enforcement of data protection policies.

    Responsibilities:

    • Execute and analyze enterprise data discovery scans.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and refine data protection policies.
    • Assist in building and enhancing data protection capabilities across structured and unstructured data environments.
    • Support compliance efforts with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
    • Work closely with product teams, data analysts, and data governance teams to drive data classification and protection initiatives.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data discovery and/or data protection (including Data Loss Prevention).
    • Hands-on experience with MS Purview for data discovery and classification.
    • Strong knowledge of data management principles including:
      • Data discovery
      • Data governance
      • Data classification
      • Data privacy
    • Experience with structured and unstructured data sources.
    • Familiarity with data protection regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
    • Proven analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

    Key Competencies:

    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
    • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
