This is an entry-level opportunity with strong potential to convert into a full-time role. The hiring manager is specifically looking for candidates around Insurance location.
The position is ideal for early-career developers or data engineers who have a foundational understanding of data concepts, development tools, and processes, along with a willingness to learn and grow.

Key skills and qualifications include:
  • Basic understanding of databases and data engineering concepts
  • Strong SQL knowledge (this is the primary skill set the manager will focus on during interviews)
  • Familiarity with ETL pipelines
  • Exposure to AI concepts/tools
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and GitHub
  • Familiarity with different development modules/tools
  • Snowflake experience is a plus, but not mandatory
  • Python is heavily used in the environment, so a good understanding of Python would be beneficial

The manager is not specifically looking for candidates with extensive hands-on experience but is more interested in strong SQL fundamentals, general database understanding, and candidates who are eager to learn.

Location preference: Candidates should ideally be around Insurance hub area.
Conversion: Strong possibility of full-time conversion.

The main function of a Data Engineer is to create

Create data assets and build data pipelines that align to modern software development principles that align to modern software development principles for further analytical consumption.

Job Responsibilities:
• Work with technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage.
• Create prototype, write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database
• Design, implement, automate and maintain enterprise data ETL processes
• Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes
• Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications

Skills:
• Experience with database technologies
• Knowledge of the ETL process
• Knowledge of at least one scripting language
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated history of success
• Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions
• Knowledge of GenAI

Education/Experience:
