Data Engineer

Job Duties: Develop and optimize ETL workflows using Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory, integrating data from legacy mainframe systems (COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2) and Java-based applications. Perform data modeling, metadata management, and workflow orchestration using Hive and Unix/Shell scripting. Enable real-time data streaming with Kafka and monitor system performance using Grafana. Design and implement scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions using Hadoop, Spark, Python, and Scala in distributed environments. Develop Java/J2EE components for data ingestion and transformation. Administer Tableau and Qlik platforms, ensuring secure, high-performance enterprise reporting across AWS and Azure cloud environments. Required tools and technologies: Hadoop, Spark, Python, Scala, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Kafka, Hive, Unix/Shell scripting, Java/J2EE, DB2, VSAM, JCL, COBOL, Oracle/SQL, Tableau, Qlik, AWS/Azure, Grafana.

Other: Full Time. Travel involved to other company branch offices within the U.S.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Equivalent + 5 years of Experience in job offered or related. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience accepted.
