Marketplace aims to redefine/revolutionize how software is bought, managed, and sold, while Cloud seeks to build the most simple and intelligent cloud management platform. Insights will allow customers to benchmark their maturity in the space of spend and technology, while Digital will revolutionize how customers will interact with SoftwareONE. All products are built on a shared platform.

The role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to design, build and maintain robust data pipelines in a secure and governed environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the Microsoft Azure cloud stack and should possess advanced knowledge in Databricks and Azure SQL, as well as NoSQL technologies like MongoDB or CosmosDB.

• Design, develop and maintain efficient data pipelines in a secure and governed environment using cloud ETL tools with SQL and Python.
• Build and maintain data models and schemas for structured and unstructured data.
• Integrate, consolidate and transform large volumes of data from various sources into a unified format for analysis.
• Implement and maintain data storage solutions using Azure SQL, Databricks, NoSQL databases, and other data storage technologies.
• Monitor and optimize data pipelines to ensure maximum performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide high-quality data for analysis and decision-making.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation, cleansing and enrichment processes.
• Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with data regulations and security standards.

• Experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of designing and implementing data pipelines and data storage solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure, including Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL.
• Familiarity with NoSQL technologies.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL tools, and data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of data governance, data security, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
