IntroductionGallagher is a global community of professionals dedicated to helping clients navigate complexity.Role OverviewThe Data Engineering Lead will design, develop, implement, and support data initiatives across Gallagher, ensuring consistent data delivery architecture and aligning with business goals.Position: Temp-To-Hire, W-2 (no 1099 or C2C)Fully remote U.S. based role.Must meet U.S. work-authorization eligibility.ResponsibilitiesLead requirements gathering, scope definition and technical design of integration workflows.Mentor and manage data engineering teams (onsite and offshore).Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure project success.Provide leadership, direction, and coordination for development and support teams.Act as liaison between technical teams and business users.Manage deliverables across multiple teams and ensure alignment with business priorities.Design and implement internal process improvements, automation, and scalable infrastructure.Build ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, and SQL Server.Create data tools for analytics and data science teams.Lead troubleshooting efforts, root-cause analysis, and incident resolution.Design analytics tools to deliver actionable insights.Provide ongoing support for data systems and integrations.QualificationsB.S.
