Data Engineer

ONSITE - Miami, FL

6+ Months Contract-to-Hire

  • Strong data experience is required. Thorough hands-on experience with Salesforce is a must, and experience with BigQuery is also a mandatory requirement.
  • Preference for candidates with experience supporting subscription-based business models. Experience working with data related to recurring revenue, customer subscriptions, renewals, retention, and similar subscription-service metrics would be highly relevant.
  • MRR and ARR knowledge is a plus
  • RevCloud is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust ELT/ETL pipelines ingesting data from Salesforce, HubSpot, Stripe, and other commercial systems into BigQuery.

• Manage and extend our Fivetran connector configurations; implement custom connectors where no off-the-shelf solution exists.

• Develop and maintain dbt models, tests, and documentation to ensure data quality and lineage transparency.

• Monitor pipeline health, set up alerting, and respond to incidents - keeping our data fresh and stakeholders informed.

• Work with the Senior Data Architect to implement data governance practices including cataloguing, data certification, and access controls.

• Optimize BigQuery tables for cost and query performance: partitioning, clustering, and materialization strategies.

• Collaborate with Analytics Engineers and Analysts to understand downstream data requirements and model data accordingly.

• Support infrastructure-as-code practices and contribute to CI/CD pipelines for data assets.

• Document data flows, dependencies, and pipeline architecture so the team has a clear picture of the data lake.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a closely related role.

• Strong SQL and Python skills - comfortable building pipelines, writing transformation logic, and debugging production issues.

• Hands-on experience with BigQuery or another cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift, or similar).

• Experience with ELT/ETL tooling such as Fivetran, Airbyte, or custom pipeline frameworks.

• Proficiency with dbt (data build tool) for data transformation and testing.

• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Cloud Composer, or Prefect.

• Familiarity with GCP services (Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions) or equivalent AWS/Azure services.

• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts: star schema, slowly changing dimensions, normalization.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating Salesforce, HubSpot, or Stripe data sources specifically.

• Knowledge of data governance tools such as GCP Data Catalog or Dataplex.

• Experience with streaming pipelines (Pub/Sub, Kafka, or similar).

• Familiarity with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.

• Prior experience working in a Revenue Operations or go-to-market data context.

• Contribution to open-source data projects or dbt packages
