Data Engineer - Microsoft Fabric / D365

Data Engineer II role with a leading manufacturer and distributor of premium lighting products with a nationwide footprint. They're seeking a Data Engineer to help build scalable data solutions that support enterprise analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing data pipelines, integrating ERP systems, and working within Microsoft's data ecosystem. The environment includes Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Dynamics 365, and JD Edwards (ERP), supporting multiple business functions across manufacturing, distribution, and e-commerce.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines
• Build and support data solutions within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem
• Design and optimize data models for reporting, analytics, and business intelligence
• Develop data ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Factory and related Azure technologies
• Integrate data from enterprise applications including Microsoft Dynamics 365 and JD Edwards
• Build reliable, reusable data assets for downstream applications and reporting platforms
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and performance across enterprise data environments
• Develop distributed data processing solutions using SQL
• Support Microsoft Fabric lakehouse architecture and modern data platform initiatives
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing data pipelines
• Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and development teams to deliver high-quality data solutions
• Document data architecture, pipelines, and engineering best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
• Strong SQL (T-SQL preferred)
• Experience with Azure Data Factory
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Experience integrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) data
• Experience designing scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions
• Experience with Azure Data Lake and/or Azure Synapse Analytics
