Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will work with a highly effective team developing quality and scalable data solutions within a leading Asset Management technology organization. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, contribute to data platform initiatives, and continuously improve engineering efficiency and delivery practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience developing high-quality data solutions.

• Experience in software development within the financial services industry.

• Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development, SQL scripting, and database performance tuning.

• Intermediate experience with Java development preferred.

• Solid understanding of ETL tools such as Informatica and data warehousing platforms like Snowflake.

• Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, gaps, and issues, and develop effective solutions.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently assess technical challenges and implement innovative solutions.

• Experience with data modeling, quantitative analysis, and multidimensional data structures.

• Understanding of data architecture concepts including Transactional Systems, Data Marts, and Data Warehouses.

• Basic knowledge of Python, REST APIs, and AWS is a plus.

• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices using tools such as Maven, Jenkins, Git, and Docker.

• Experience working in Agile environments utilizing Scrum and Kanban methodologies.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
