Data Engineer

Our client is seeking a technically skilled and solution-oriented Data Engineer to join their Information Technology team. This position plays a key role in shaping and modernizing the enterprise data landscape, supporting business intelligence, analytics, and decision-making capabilities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data engineering best practices, cloud technologies, and designing systems that make reliable, high-quality data accessible across the organization.

This role is perfect for a self-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data solutions.

Responsibilities:

Manage and enhance the Guidewire Enterprise Data Warehouse to support accurate, efficient ETL operations.
Design and implement scalable data platforms (on-prem or cloud-based) to integrate multiple data sources.
Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using modern tools and platforms.
Develop and maintain data models and architecture to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML.
Promote data governance, quality, security, and compliance across all data systems.
Enable real-time analytics and self-service data environments using modern data stack tools (data lakes, NoSQL, streaming technologies).
Collaborate with IT, business units, and analytics teams to ensure alignment of data solutions with business strategy.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and data-driven decision-making.
Assist in developing reports for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Monitor task queues and manage work tickets through systems like Jira.
