Our client, a leading investment firm, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team in Los Angeles, CA or New York, NY!
The ideal candidate will lead the migration of legacy reporting infrastructure onto a new, custom-built reporting platform. You'll work primarily in Snowflake to build and modernize the data pipelines that power the firm's reporting, while also contributing to the application layer that replaces the legacy system.
Responsibilities:-
Lead the migration of legacy reports onto a new custom-built reporting system.

Design, build, and maintain data pipelines in Snowflake to support automated reporting workflows.

Build full stack components (front end and back end) supporting the new reporting platform.

Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate build timelines and improve code quality.

Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

Ensure data accuracy, performance, and reliability across all automated reports.
Qualifications:-
Investment firm background (required).

Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, pipelines, performance tuning).

Full stack development experience (front end + back end).

Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) as part of the development workflow.

Experience modernizing or migrating legacy reporting systems is a strong plus.

Strong communication skills able to work directly with business stakeholders, not just other engineers.
Pay Rate: $90 - $110/hr
