We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with strong experience in NoSQL databases to join our team in Seattle, WA. This role requires a versatile technologist who can work across NoSQL, relational, caching, and streaming technologies while applying a software engineering mindset to build scalable and efficient data solutions. Roles & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and storage solutions.
Work with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, etc.) to manage and optimize large datasets.
Integrate data from multiple sources including relational databases, caching layers, and streaming platforms (Kafka, Spark, etc.).
Ensure data quality, security, and availability across systems.
Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and business teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
Troubleshoot and optimize performance across data platforms.
Apply best practices in data engineering, cloud services, and modern DevOps processes.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.
Strong hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or similar).
Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Knowledge of caching technologies (Redis, Memcached).
Familiarity with streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark Streaming, AWS Kinesis).
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a software engineering mindset.
