Position Title Data Engineer Senior

Location Redstone Arsenal Position Type Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support complex data initiatives including ETL development, large-scale data migrations, and high-performance data processing in a mission-driven environment. This role will work closely with engineering and analytics teams to design, build, and optimize data pipelines supporting critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and data workflows Lead and support data migration efforts across enterprise systems Develop and optimize data processing solutions using Apache Spark Work with relational databases including Oracle and PostgreSQL Write and maintain backend services and data integrations using Java Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across platforms Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system modernization efforts Troubleshoot, optimize, and document data solutions in secure environments

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering or related roles Strong experience with ETL processes and data migration Proficiency in Java Hands-on experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases Experience using Apache Spark for large-scale data processing Active Top Secret security clearance required at time of hire

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting DoD or federal programs Familiarity with large, complex data environments and legacy system modernization
