Data Engineer / Systems Analyst III - Emerging Technologies

Location: Austin - Hybrid Schedule, Onsite & Remote Flexibility

Contract Duration: 09/01/2026 - 08/31/2027

Schedule:  Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST - Excluding State Holidays

 

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Systems Analyst III to support a major healthcare and data analytics initiative focused on building and enhancing a large-scale enterprise data integration hub. This role will support the design, development, automation, and optimization of complex data engineering solutions within a highly collaborative Agile environment.

 

This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior-level data professional with strong ETL, Snowflake, SQL, Informatica, and healthcare data experience who thrives in fast-paced enterprise environments.

 

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and experience supporting large-scale data warehousing, business intelligence, and performance management systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to Agile data engineering and systems analysis initiatives
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex ETL workflows and data integration processes
  • Acquire and integrate data from multiple enterprise and external data sources
  • Develop advanced Snowflake SQL scripts optimized for scalability and performance
  • Create dimensional data models, database views, and materialized views
  • Develop and automate data workflows using Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica IICS
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, and stakeholders to design optimal data solutions
  • Participate in sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies
  • Conduct validation, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
  • Produce technical documentation, diagrams, specifications, and mapping documents
  • Assist with deployment, operations support, and ongoing platform enhancements
  • Support data visualization and business intelligence initiatives
  • Interpret changing business requirements and recommend scalable technical solutions

 

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience developing ETL mappings and workflows using Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica IICS
  • 8+ years of experience integrating data from multiple data sources and technologies including:
    • Oracle
    • SQL Server
    • Excel
    • Microsoft Access
    • Adobe PDF
  • 8+ years of experience designing and developing complex Snowflake SQL scripts
  • 8+ years of experience supporting data analytics, performance management, or enterprise data warehouse initiatives
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and systems analysis skills
  • Experience producing technical documentation, diagrams, and data mappings
  • Experience with Visio, Erwin, Microsoft Office Suite, and MS Project
  • Proven ability to write scalable, testable, and efficient code
  • Experience delivering enterprise software solutions across multiple business units

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within Agile sprint teams
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Experience working with PHI and PII data
  • Prior experience supporting HHS or government healthcare agencies
  • Experience with Python scripting and automation
  • Experience using JIRA
  • Knowledge of REST and SOAP web services
  • Experience with Java and JavaScript
  • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions
  • Experience with MuleSoft
  • Exposure to AI-enabled data tools such as:
    • Snowflake Cortex
    • Snowflake Intelligence
    • Informatica Claire
