Data Engineering Manager

FULL-TIME (DIRECT HIRE) | HYBRID | TAMPA BAY AREA

We are conducting a search for a Data Engineering Manager to join our client's headquarters in the Tampa Bay area.

Location:Tampa Bay (local candidates only)

Work Schedule:Hybrid, with three days per week in the office. Candidates must reside in the Tampa Bay area.

The Data Engineering Manager will be a solutions-oriented leader responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the data engineering team and external partners. This individual will play a key role in driving execution while collaborating closely with business stakeholders.

This position also offers the opportunity to shape the future of the organization's data engineering function by improving processes, enhancing tools, and optimizing overall delivery, while working closely with business stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in CS.
• At least 8 years of progressive data experience (developer, engineer, analytics) with a minimum of 5 years of leadership skills leading data engineering teams,
• Background developing standards and operating practices and supporting modernization of data platforms and integration capabilities.
• Expertise with SQL, ETL/ELT patterns, and orchestration frameworks
• Experience leading delivery of scalable data pipelines, integrations, platform operations, and production support
• Understanding of modern cloud or hybrid data platforms (knowledge of Fabric, Snowflake or Databricks).
• Proven ability to manage across the business with stakeholders and vendors
• Healthcare industry is highly preferred.
