Job Title: Data Entry Clerk

Location: Remote (Torrance, CA 90504)

Duration: 6-12 Months

Note:

Schedule/ Remote Flexibility: Monday to Friday, full remote (but need to come to our office to pick up computer on the first day, etc)

Work Hours: 8am - 4pm (1 hour lunch is unpaid) or can discuss

Hours Per Week: 35

Interview Process: 1st interview is Teams, 2nd is onsite interview.

Manager Intake Notes:

This position is primarily remote. However, the contractor is required to come to the PPA Torrance office on the first and last day of the assignment to pick up and return company-issued equipment (e.g., a laptop).

Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the Torrance, CA office. Proximity to the office is a business requirement to support company asset management, equipment distribution and return, onboarding, IT support, training, and any future business needs that may require onsite attendance.

3. Experience in procurement/supply chain operations, particularly import/export and logistics

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records for ocean and air shipments, including shipment status, ETD/ETA, and related tracking information.
• Process invoices and other supply chain transactions using PPA's ERP system (Glovia).
• Create and process ASNs (Advance Shipment Notices) to customers via email and EDI.
• Monitor shipment status and follow up with suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouse providers, and internal teams as necessary.
• Support delivery schedule adjustments and follow up on shipment delays, urgent shipments, and other supply chain issues.
• Support other purchasing, logistics, and supply chain operational activities as assigned.

Required Experience & Skills

• Previous experience in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, import/export, warehouse operations, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with shipment coordination, delivery schedule management, inventory control, invoicing, or order processing is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic supply chain and logistics concepts, such as PO, lead time, ETD/ETA, ASN, inventory, and ocean/air transportation.
• Experience using ERP systems such as Glovia, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling operational and transactional data.
• Strong follow-up, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced supply chain environment.
• Ability to communicate and coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouse providers, customers, and internal cross-functional teams.

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $18.00 - $20.00 per hour.
