Seeking a full-time Data Entry Clerk II to support our Cafeteria department at Northwest Medical Center, located on 6200 N La Cholla Blvd.

Job Summary

The Data Entry Clerk II is responsible for performing advanced data entry and validation tasks, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of electronic records. This role involves higher-volume data processing, troubleshooting data discrepancies, and assisting in reporting functions. The Data Entry Clerk II may also train new staff and provide administrative support to various departments.

Essential Functions

  • Enters, updates, and validates high-volume data in electronic systems, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Reviews and verifies complex records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with data standards.
  • Identifies and corrects data discrepancies, working with relevant departments to resolve issues.
  • Assists in generating basic reports and summaries based on collected data.
  • Provides training and support to junior data entry clerks on system usage and best practices.
  • Organizes, maintains, and archives digital and physical documents following retention policies.
  • Ensures adherence to data security, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance regulations.
  • Uses advanced data entry tools and office applications, such as spreadsheet formulas and database queries.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in data entry, clerical administration, or records management required
  • Experience in healthcare, finance, or corporate data management preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in data entry systems, electronic databases, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Strong ability to identify, analyze, and resolve data inconsistencies and errors.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality policies for handling sensitive data.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle large volumes of data efficiently.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior staff, providing guidance on best practices and data accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills for high-accuracy data processing.
