Position Summary
The Registration Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring an efficient and accurate voter registration and check-in process during election operations. This position is responsible for verifying voter information, processing voter registrations, assisting voters with election-related questions, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service while adhering to all election laws, policies, and confidentiality requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet voters professionally and provide outstanding customer service.
Verify voter identity and registration information using election management systems.
Process new voter registrations, updates, and address changes in accordance with state and local election laws.
Assist voters with completing required forms accurately and completely.
Check in registered voters and direct them to the appropriate voting area or election staff.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all records are complete and organized.
Answer general questions regarding voter registration, polling locations, voting procedures, and election guidelines.
Protect the confidentiality and security of voter information at all times.
Identify and escalate voter issues or discrepancies to the Site Supervisor when necessary.
Maintain a clean, organized, and secure registration area throughout the workday.
Assist with opening and closing election sites, including setup and breakdown of registration materials and equipment.
Perform other election-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous customer service, administrative, clerical, or data entry experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
