Data Entry Specialist


Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join a fast-paced, collaborative customer service team. This Data Entry Specialist role is primarily focused on high-volume order entry and data accuracy within an ERP system, with the opportunity to expand into broader customer support responsibilities over time. The ideal Data Entry Specialist thrives in structured, repetitive work environments and takes pride in precision and consistency.


Core Responsibilities



  • Perform high-volume order entry (approximately 800 purchase orders per month) in an ERP system with exceptional accuracy (approximately 90% of role)

  • Review and validate incoming purchase orders, ensuring completeness and data integrity

  • Communicate with cross-functional teams (customer service, logistics, accounts receivable, and sales) to resolve discrepancies (approximately 10% of role)

  • Assist with booking and coordination for export orders as needed

  • Provide backup support for customer service representatives, including managing shared inboxes, entering orders, and resolving issues during absences

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and workflow efficiencies


Day-to-Day Workflow
The Data Entry Specialist receives incoming purchase orders, inputs them into the ERP system (IFS), verifies all details, and resolves any inconsistencies through internal communication. Over time, the Data Entry Specialist will gain exposure to broader responsibilities such as customer correspondence and account coverage.
