Aeronautics Data and Field Support Technician TN DOT / Covendis
This is an entry-level data support role focused primarily on reviewing airport pavement images and tracing visible cracks to help TDOT build a machine-learning dataset.
What the person will do
- Review airfield pavement images
- Trace and label visible pavement cracks
- Organize completed image files and tracking logs
- Flag unclear images for staff review
- Perform quality checks on crack-labeling work
- Update spreadsheets and enter data
- Scan, rename, file, and organize project documents
- Occasionally support airport drone operations as a visual observer
- Monitor the drone, airspace, vehicles, people, and airport activity during flights
- Assist with field notes, photographs, and data organization
Must-have qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to complete repetitive work accurately
- Ability to work independently after training
- Ability to work in an office and occasionally at airport field locations
- Ability to work onsite in Nashville two days per week
