PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 1 Base Year + 3 Option Years

LOCATION: Remote

Part-Time: 0.50 FTE

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: This position does not require a security clearance; however, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities:

  • Proposed personnel possess the knowledge and capability to develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks, ensuring metadata consistency, lineage tracking, and interoperability between Data Lake, ESRI Kubernetes environments, and external data sources.
  • Personnel must be proficient in metadata management, data lineage tracking (Unity Catalog/OpenLineage), schema alignment, and governance best practices.
  • Expertise in geospatial data standards, data cataloging, and compliance with DoD metadata policies is required.

Required Qualifications and Skills (Must Be Reflected on Your Resume):

  • A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Management, GIS, or a related field -OR- A minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in data governance, metadata management, or geospatial data integration.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in Implementing metadata governance frameworks for structured and unstructured data in cloud-based environments.
  • Tracking data lineage and ensuring metadata synchronization across a Data Catalog, ESRI Kubernetes, and enterprise metadata repositories.
  • Utilizing OpenLineage, Apache Atlas, or similar tools for metadata and data lineage management.
  • Enforcing compliance with DoD metadata policies and NSG tradecraft standards for geospatial datasets.

Desired but not Required Certifications:

  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), DAMA Certified Data Governance Professional (DGSP), or ESRI Geospatial Data Management Certificatio .
