Job Description

As a Data Governance Specialist, you will play a vital role in securing and optimizing data environments across national defense operations. Your solutions will advance operational analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning capabilities, enabling smarter and faster decision-making while ensuring data is governed ethically, accessed securely, and shielded from adversaries. By leveraging cutting-edge tools and driving innovation, you will contribute directly to safeguarding sensitive information and strengthening the Departments data-first defense strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage data governance frameworks
• Implement metadata and data cataloging solutions
• Ensure compliance with DoW and IC data security policies
• Use tools such as Databricks, Unity Catalog, Collibra, Alation, AWS Glue, and Azure Purview
• Work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Possess a TSSCI clearance
• Bachelors degree in Data Management, Information Science, Computer Science, or related field
• 2 years of experience in data governance or 5 years of experience in data governance in lieu of degree

Nice to Have

• Experience working in DoW or IC organizations
• Certifications in Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), DAMA Certified Data Governance Professional (DGSP), or Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate
• Clearance
