Position Summary:

This position will assist with data governance and system improvement initiatives, including data policies, privacy policies, standards, and practices, as well as activities delivering data quality and improvement outcomes. This role will also have an indirect reporting relationship to the Systems team and play a critical role in embedding governance into system processes, driving accountability, user adoption, and continuous business improvement. The position will have a strong emphasis on system usage discipline, process adherence, and cross-functional system alignment to ensure consistency and scalability across the organization. Collaboration with stakeholders across Digital & IT and the broader business will be critical to success.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Data Governance & Quality

  • Assist with coordinating data governance communication initiatives to raise awareness and engagement.

  • Collaborate with Systems, BI, and IT teams to ensure data governance policies are applied to all relevant initiatives (DPIA).

  • Compile reporting on data governance progress for senior leadership.

  • Resolve issues escalated from business, systems, and IT functions.

  • Define and track data quality metrics with data owners and stewards

  • Conduct root cause analysis on data errors and communicate findings.

  • Execute data cleansing activities across ERP and other systems.

  • Ensure third-party privacy agreements and security certifications are maintained.

  • Audit and review data processes to identify efficiency improvements.

  • Ensure data quality issues are logged, tracked, and remediated.

  • Contribute to data governance and system process documentation.

  • Maintain user guides, policies, and procedural documentation.

  • Liaise with Data Area Committee (DAC) stakeholders.

  • Coordinate DAC communications, agendas, and follow-ups.

  • Serve as liaison between legal, stakeholders, and third parties on data privacy.

  • Support adoption of governance and privacy policies.

  • Ensure documentation reflects system-enforced processes and standardized workflows.

  • Systems, Process & Adoption

  • Drive consistency and accountability around data entry standards and system process adherence across business functions.

  • Support user adoption of new systems, reporting tools, and process changes through structured communication plans, end-user training, reinforcement and follow-up activities

  • Partner with Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and Finance teams to improve system usage consistency, increase data accuracy at the point of entry, align business processes across platforms

  • Identify recurring system and process failures and recommend scalable, sustainable corrective actions.

  • Act as a bridge between business users and systems teams to ensure business requirements are reflected in system design, systems are used as intended, process gaps are closed through system enhancements

  • Support and improve all business systems with a stronger emphasis on data integrity, reporting accuracy, process alignment and enforcement

  • Coordinate and support users on system updates and new processes with structured change management practices.

  • Troubleshoot and improve data quality in conjunction with system workflows and automation logic.

  • Work closely with business teams to standardize system-driven processes and eliminate manual workarounds.

  • Support development of reporting and self-service capabilities. • Assist in testing new databases and data handling systems.

  • Prepare documentation, user guides, and training materials.

  • Support management information and KPI production. • Provide end-user support across business systems.

  • Support systems with a focus on ensuring reporting reflects standardized system usage and governed data inputs.

Position Qualifications:

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of data management and governance processes

  • Proficient working knowledge in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience using and supporting systems and data quality initiatives

  • Experience of developing and improving data processes

  • Ability to communicate technical issues in plain English

  • Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills

  • Must be dependable with a stable work history.

  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain stability under pressure and be flexible and willing to modify plans and behavior when necessary.

  • Must be highly self-motivated and directed.

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience with customer data, setup and maintenance.

  • Experience of delivering value and outcome from data integration, visualization and analytics.

  • Knowledge and experience of master data management for customer and vendor data.

  • Ensure that data quality issues are logged, tracked, and remedied in a timely and effective manner.

  • Able to rapidly coordinate actions internally with multiple departments.

  • Flexibility to work with partners across multiple time zones

  • Experience/Education:

  • Associate degree in computer science, system analysis or similar relevant experience required.

  • 3-5 years of experience working in systems support or master data management or data analyst role, preferably with large datasets.

  • Proven passion for systems, processes, analytics, data privacy, and the ability to communicate its value

  • Familiarity with business data reporting tool (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, Cognos, Looker etc.)
