Data Integration Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY: The Data Integration Engineer serves as a technical resource responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of applications, integrations, automation tools, and data management solutions that enable field operations. This role participates in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and operational support.
The Data Integration Engineer develops software solutions, APIs, database applications, and automation capabilities that improve data quality, streamline operational processes, and support scalable management of field data across multiple enterprise systems. The role combines application development, database expertise, and technical problem-solving to deliver reliable, maintainable, and efficient solutions that support business objectives.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support software solutions that improve field data management and operational processes.
Develop and maintain custom applications, services, APIs, scripts, and automation tools used to configure, validate, and maintain operational data.
Build and support integrations between enterprise systems utilizing APIs, file-based interfaces, and data exchange services.
Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, database scripts, and data transformation processes to support business and operational requirements.
Design and implement scalable solutions for bulk data processing, migrations, imports, exports, and recurring data maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application, integration, database, and data-related issues across multiple systems.
Participate in solution design, code reviews, testing activities, deployment validation, and production support.
Develop reusable components, utilities, and automation capabilities that reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
Optimize application functionality, system performance, and data processing workflows to improve reliability and maintainability.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, operations teams, developers, QA teams, and support organizations to deliver technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
Support production and non-production environments, including issue investigation, root-cause analysis, and resolution.
Apply development standards, coding best practices, source control processes, and change management procedures throughout the solution lifecycle.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience developing and supporting software applications, automation solutions, system integrations, or internal business applications.
Strong SQL development skills including query development, database scripting, stored procedures, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
Experience designing and supporting REST APIs, services, and integration solutions.
Experience working with relational databases, data structures, and application data models.
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, Agile development practices, and application support processes.
Experience debugging, testing, deploying, and supporting applications in production environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to independently design, develop, implement, and support technical solutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of experience in software development, application development, systems integration, data engineering, technical support, or a related technical role.
Experience developing scripts, automation solutions, utilities, applications, or integration services.
Experience supporting enterprise applications and production environments.
Experience working with databases and developing SQL-based solutions.
