Salary Range: $50- $53 an hour on W2

We are seeking an experienced Data Lead with 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Cloud Data Platforms. The ideal candidate will lead the organization's data strategy, architecture, and engineering initiatives while managing high-performing teams and collaborating with business stakeholders. This role requires expertise in designing scalable data pipelines, implementing data governance, ensuring data quality, and delivering analytics solutions using modern cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data architecture, data pipelines, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance data storage and processing solutions.
• Define and implement data governance, metadata management, and data quality standards.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Lead, mentor, and guide Data Engineers, Analysts, and other technical team members.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance across enterprise systems.
• Drive best practices for data modeling, database design, and performance optimization.
• Manage project delivery, prioritize workstreams, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives using cloud-native technologies.
• Identify opportunities to modernize data platforms and improve operational efficiency through automation.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Data Science.
• Strong expertise in SQL for data analysis and performance optimization.
• Hands-on programming experience with Python or R.
• Experience with AWS Data & Analytics services.
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT development and data integration tools.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and database design.
• Experience implementing data governance, data quality, and security best practices.
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments and managing multiple projects.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks.
• Knowledge of AWS services including:
  • Amazon Redshift
  • AWS Glue
  • Amazon S3
  • AWS Lambda
  • Amazon EMR
• Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QuickSight.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for data platforms.
• AWS Data Analytics or AWS Solutions Architect certification is a plus.
