    Description

    Contract to hire position with a major financial firm.

    Hybrid to Newark.

    The role is focused on alert triage, data risk assessment, and escalation of potential data security incidents to relevant parties. The role will leverage existing controls and knowledge of security principles to assess incidents for threat.

    - Review and triage DLP alerts across email, web, and endpoint channels.
    - Validate alerts to determine true positive vs. false positive.
    - Analyze data involved to assess sensitivity and risk.
    - Evaluate user behavior for anomalous or suspicious activity.
    - Perform user lookups to assess potential insider risk.
    - Close false positive alerts with proper documentation.
    - Escalate qualifying alerts to FTE resources with detailed summary.
    - Identify patterns such as repeat offenses or slow data exfiltration behaviors.
    - Flag potential policy tuning opportunities (no direct tuning responsibility).

    - Symantec DLP (Email, Endpoint).
    - Zscaler DLP (Web).
    - Potential use of SIEM (e.g., Splunk).
    - Familiarity with ServiceNow is beneficial.

    - Strong experience in Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
    - Background in cybersecurity and information security analysis.
    - Familiarity with SIEM and endpoint monitoring concepts.
    - Ability to assess data sensitivity and user behavior risk.
    - Japanese language proficiency (required); English (preferred).
    - Ability to operate independently in analyst role.
