Job Description:

Our client is seeking a specialized Data Migration & Dataverse Engineer to lead the complex data transition phase of a high-priority legacy system modernization project for the Executive Office of the Governor (EOG). This initiative will migrate a decade-old Microsoft Dynamics CRM environment to the modern Microsoft Power Platform (Dataverse).

Because this system houses highly sensitive state data including investigations, whistle-blower intakes, and auditing records absolute precision, data integrity, and strict adherence to security protocols during the migration are critical. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in ETL processes, Microsoft Dataverse architecture, and translating legacy CRM schemas into modern cloud structures.

Responsibilities:

• Migration Strategy & Execution: Design, plan, and execute the end-to-end data migration strategy from the legacy on-premises Microsoft Dynamics CRM to the new Microsoft Dataverse environment.

• Data Mapping & Cleansing: Perform complex data mapping, deduplication, and transformation exercises to ensure legacy records fit seamlessly into the optimized "to-be " Dataverse schema.

• ETL Development: Develop, test, and deploy robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines using Microsoft tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Power Query, or specialized Dynamics migration tools).

• Data Integrity & Security: Ensure zero data loss and strict compliance with the State of Florida's cloud-first strategy ( 282.206, F.S.) during data transit and at rest. Maintain role-based access controls and encryption standards throughout the migration process.

• Testing & Validation: Work closely with the QA & Security Testing Lead to validate data post-migration, ensuring all historical records, attachments, and relational links function correctly in the new system.

• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive data dictionaries, migration logs, and mapping documents to serve as the definitive record for the migration effort.

Qualifications:

• Certifications (Required): PL-200 (Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant), DP-203 (Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure)

• Experience: 4+ years of dedicated experience in data engineering and database migration, with a mandatory focus on legacy Microsoft Dynamics CRM to Dataverse migrations.

• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of relational database structures, SQL, Azure Data Services, Dataverse APIs, and Microsoft Power Platform environments.

• Government Familiarity: Experience handling sensitive or classified government data migrations is highly preferred, demonstrating an understanding of strict compliance and data-handling protocols.

• Clearance/Security: Must be eligible to pass strict background checks
