Data Migration Lead

Piper Companies is seeking a Data Migration Lead to support a global organization within the technology and manufacturing space as part of a long-term initiative to modernize enterprise systems. This role is based in North Carolina and will play a key part in leading the full data migration lifecycle into SAP S/4HANA, while ensuring strong data governance, quality, and alignment across cross-functional teams to support a successful cutover and production launch.

Responsibilities of the Data Migration Lead:

• Lead and manage the overall data migration strategy, including planning migration waves, defining milestones, and setting quality expectations
• Establish and maintain data standards, validation rules, and governance processes aligned with broader program and change management efforts
• Oversee design alignment for SAP MDG and Syniti ADM, ensuring data mappings, transformations, and load processes meet target model requirements
• Coordinate closely with functional, integration, testing, and cutover teams to support mock runs and ensure production readiness
• Drive end-to-end migration activities, including data profiling, cleansing, transformation, validation, and issue resolution across both master and transactional data

Qualifications for the Data Migration Lead:

• 7+ years of experience leading SAP data migrations, including involvement in at least two full S/4HANA implementations
• Strong knowledge of SAP master data domains such as Business Partner, Material, Finance, and related dependencies across modules
• Experience working with SAP MDG and data migration tools such as Syniti ADM or similar platforms
• Solid understanding of ETL processes, data profiling, and data quality frameworks in large, global environments
• Proven experience supporting enterprise-scale transformations with complex cutover planning and cross-functional collaboration

Compensation for the Data Migration Lead:

• Salary Range: $165,000 - $185,000/year (USD)
