Position: Data Modeler

Location-Nashville,TN

Remote Work:-Yes(till covid)

Shift Timing: 7:30AM EST to 4:30pm EST

No OPT EAD and if candidate on H1B need Passport Number.

The Data Modellers primary mission is to design, build, and integrate logical models in support of the development of Business Intelligence applications. The models may be relational (3NF, 4NF, etc.) or multi-dimensional (star schema or snowflake schemas intended to support cubes). These models will typically reflect data available in transactional source systems, as well as business functions and processes.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To :-
To perform logical data modeling.
To build conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
To manage metadata.
To perform source system analysis through data profiling/exploration.
To build and maintain data maps linking source systems to target systems.
To consult with ETL developers on data extraction and loading.
To provide guidance to others who may be developing data models, including conducting walkthroughs and training sessions.
To administer the Data Architecture toolset.
To manage the tool license inventory.
To assist users with tool questions and provide tool training.
To perform R&D, as required by business requirements, on additional tools and technology that may improve the data environment.
Provides on-call assistance as needed.
Provides input to and customizes policies and procedures, training, and best practices for use within the company.
Participates in meetings as a member of IT.
Builds strong relationships with core customer base and company leadership.
Adheres to Code of Conduct and Mission & Value Statement.
Participate in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
PowerDesigner Studio [Standard tool].
Demonstrated ability to establish and build strong relationships across a broad range of personality types.
Excellent ability to communicate effectively with SCRI staff and information technology personnel verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated strong customer orientation.
Excellent leadership and teaching abilities.
Demonstrated advanced computer skills.

Preferred:
Proficiency in MS SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, and MicroStrategy.
Course work and/or experience with relevant database technology.
Strong programming and application development skills.
Microsoft Certification.
DMExpress (Standard ETL product).
Business Objects or MicroStrategy (Standard query tools).
Data Modeling.
Teradata.
