Data Modeler (Supply Chain Analytics & Databricks) - Houston, TX

Role Overview

• Data Modeler focused on Supply Chain Management (SCM) Data, Innovation & Analytics.
• Responsible for designing, building, and operationalizing scalable supply chain data products.
• Combines data modeling, analytics, ETL/ELT development, machine learning, and product delivery.
• Converts complex SCM data into trusted, governed, and actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop analytics solutions for supply chain business challenges, including:

• Procurement

• Supplier performance

• Spend analytics

• Oil & gas operations

• Enterprise value optimization

• Design, build, test, and optimize Databricks-based ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Create and maintain Silver and Gold data products.

• Transform and model data from enterprise systems such as:

• Oracle Cloud

• SAP

• Oracle ADW

• Microsoft Dataflow

• Dataverse

• Build and evaluate AI/ML solutions, including:

• Forecasting

• Classification

• Anomaly detection

• Text analytics

• NLP (Natural Language Processing)

• Utilize Databricks platform features:

• Notebooks

• Jobs & Workflows

• Unity Catalog

• SQL Warehouses

• Genie Code

• Lakeflow / Lakeflow Designer

• Maintain project documentation:

• Requirements

• Design documents

• Assessments

• Weekly status reports

• Communicate technical concepts and product details clearly to business stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills

Experience Required

• 6-8 years of relevant experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong data engineering and data modeling background.
• Hands-on Databricks developer with Python/PySpark expertise.
• Experience building enterprise-scale data products and analytics solutions.
• Knowledge of Supply Chain, Procurement, and Oil & Gas business processes is highly valued.
