General Job Information
JOB SUMMARY
This position is located in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) , Office of the Chief Information Officer. The mission of the DMV is to promote the safe operation of motor vehicles and public safety while providing outstanding customer service. The position serves as the principal advisor/official for all DMV's data footprint, covering driver, motor vehicle, driver record, and citation data, and providing agency-level policy and program direction for management of DMV's data analysis and dissemination activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct activities of staff to perform statistical analysis, product authoritative reports, support evaluations of DMV programs, and fulfill data requests from internal staff and approved external parties.
Develops internal programs to support the utilization of data in DMV systems and to improve service outcomes to residents while ensuring efficient agency operations. Develops and implements annual action plan in order to organize annual reporting requirements (including accountability reports), training in analysis and data utilization, analysis and studies on DMV priorities, and policy and requirements development.
Directs the regular publication of analytic reports in order to utilize data that includes interactive online data displays, printed reports and regular release of DMV operations and transactions abstract.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
Specialized Experience: Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, one (1) year of specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT
The work is performed in an adequately heated, lighted and ventilated non-smoking environment. The work is primarily sedentary in nature.

Duration of Appointment:Management Supervisory Service (MSS): At-will employment applies to the MSS. All positions and appointments in the MSS serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority and may be terminated at any time with or without cause.
Collective Bargaining Unit: This position is not covered under a collective bargaining agreement.
Position Designation: This position is designated as Security Sensitive and therefore the incumbent of this position will be subject to enhanced suitability screening pursuant to Chapter 4 of DC personnel regulations, Suitability.
