Duration: Contract - 4 months

Pay Range: $37/hr-$40/hr (W2)

Job Description

We are seeking a Data Operations Analyst, Derivatives Operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in banking and operations within fast-paced financial services and a proven ability to authenticate settlement instructions, maintain client reference data, and resolve exceptions to mitigate risk.

Responsibilities:

  • Authenticate settlement instructions through external callback verification to ensure accuracy and control.
  • Create, update, review, and approve Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) per procedures and governance.
  • Maintain complete and current client reference data across systems.
  • Identify, investigate, and escalate potential payment risks or errors to protect clients and the firm.
  • Provide responsive support to internal partners and clients while adhering to funds transfer policies and regulations.
  • Monitor workflows and controls, resolve breaks and exceptions efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to research inquiries and resolve escalations promptly.
  • Apply knowledge of financial markets and the securities industry to support accurate settlements.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability for end-to-end outcomes.
  • Use sound judgment and analytical skills to manage moderately complex scenarios and recommend solutions.
  • Uphold integrity, accuracy, compliance, and ethical conduct in settlement and payment processing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, or a related field.
  • Banking or finance operations experience with ability to learn quickly.
  • In-depth understanding of financial markets and Principal Collateral business.
  • Strong client focus and customer care practices; excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Time management, organization, and prioritization skills with ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of SWIFT MT standards, including MT103 and MT202.
  • Experience supporting Corporate & Investment Bank Operations functions.

Additional Details:

  • Work locations: One opening in NYC and one opening in Newark, DE.
  • Interview process: In-person preferred; if virtual, typically two rounds; otherwise usually one round.
  • Role not eligible for employer-sponsored immigration support.
