Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Data Processing Assistant to join our remote team. This entry-level position supports daily operations by entering, reviewing, processing, and maintaining information across company databases, spreadsheets, documents, and internal systems.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with computers, managing digital information, following established procedures, and completing routine assignments accurately and efficiently.

Previous professional experience is not required. Training and guidance will be provided to qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Data Processing & Entry

  • Enter and update information in databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems.

  • Process routine data from approved documents and information sources.

  • Review records for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

  • Update existing records with current information.

  • Identify missing, duplicate, or incorrect data.

  • Correct routine errors when authorized.

  • Perform basic quality-control checks.

  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic records.

  • Follow established data-processing procedures and guidelines.

Administrative Support

  • Provide routine administrative assistance to managers and team members.

  • Prepare, organize, and update spreadsheets, documents, and trackers.

  • Process forms and routine internal requests.

  • Maintain contact lists, administrative logs, and digital records.

  • Organize electronic folders and shared files.

  • Route documents and information to appropriate team members.

  • Assist with general clerical and administrative projects as assigned.

Document & Records Management

  • Upload, label, categorize, and archive electronic documents.

  • Maintain organized digital filing systems.

  • Review documents for completeness and basic accuracy.

  • Follow established file-naming and storage procedures.

  • Maintain document indexes and tracking logs.

  • Retrieve authorized records when requested.

  • Organize templates, forms, reports, and reference materials.

  • Protect confidential and sensitive information.

Data Quality & Verification

  • Compare entered information with approved source documents.

  • Review records for obvious errors or inconsistencies.

  • Identify incomplete information requiring additional review.

  • Perform routine verification and quality checks.

  • Follow established procedures for correcting information.

  • Flag unresolved discrepancies for appropriate review.

  • Help maintain accurate and current company information.

Operations Support

  • Track routine assignments, deadlines, and outstanding requests.

  • Update project and operational trackers.

  • Monitor the status of assigned processing tasks.

  • Follow up on routine action items when requested.

  • Assist with compiling information for reports and summaries.

  • Coordinate routine information between departments.

  • Help maintain organized administrative workflows.

Communication & Team Support

  • Communicate professionally through email, chat, and virtual meetings.

  • Respond to routine internal requests.

  • Provide status updates regarding assigned work.

  • Ask questions when instructions or information are unclear.

  • Coordinate with team members to resolve routine data issues.

  • Maintain timely and professional communication in a remote environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Basic computer and typing proficiency.

  • Familiarity with email, spreadsheets, web browsers, and digital documents.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to follow written instructions and established procedures.
