EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
High School Diplomas and college/university degrees must be obtained from an accredited program or university approved by the United States Department of Education and the Texas Education Agency.
PRIMARY PURPOSE SUMMARY:
Accurately and in a timely manner, enters into Student Software System all pertinent data that relates to the school's daily operation.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assembles, enters and updates all new and transfer student data into the computer.
Maintains manual records of student entries, exits and grade level changes on a daily basis.
Maintains student special program entry/exit dates information.
Enters demographic information on all new students into the computer and updates withdrawals as required.
Administers data processing registration and scheduling of students in the computer.
Researches, verifies, corrects, posts and maintains student attendance files on a daily basis.
Balances six weeks principals' report of attendance.
Issues tardy slips for students arriving late to school through the Raptor System.
Researches and verifies address of all returned mail.
Collects, verifies and inputs data for Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS).
Researches and corrects all data errors.
Provides instructions to teachers and staff relating to grade reporting, daily attendance posting, and areas of student data.
Coordinates, examines, corrects, enters and distributes data processing student grade records and reports.
Coordinates campus data entry functions with campus faculty, administrators and Central Office Data Processing staff to ensure all deadlines are met (i.e. grade reporting, progress reports, special programs).
Travels to Central Office to attend Data Processing meetings.
Coordinates with other schools when students transfer within district and sends cumulative folders to the campus.
Provides information on withdrawals for publication in the school daily bulletin or each department.
Enters summer school registration information into Skyward.
Inputs immunization records when Nurse is not on duty.
Assists with answering all incoming phone calls.
Registers students for Saturday school.
Prepares information requested by Attendance Officers.
Maintains daily attendance reports.
Informs assistant principal of excessive absences, tardies and truancies of students.
Verifies identification of adults requesting to take students from school early.
Maintains currency and compliance with all state and District policies and regulations concerning job functions.
Maintains office equipment located in the Attendance Office.
Lists and distributes federal forms to military families, collect from teachers, collate according to federal affiliation and forward to Central office.
Attends all required workshops.
Assists in the resolution of Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) coding errors.
Exhibits a professional attitude at all times and provides customer service to students, faculty, staff, parents and community members and employees of North East Independent School District.
Requests and sends student records through TEA Records Exchange website (TREX).
Scans all student records into Docuware.
Assists in boxing and logging all cumulative folders sent for destruction.
Maintains confidentiality of all information.
Reports to work on time every day.
Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned.

The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to drive personal vehicle in the performance of assigned tasks.
