STS Technical Services is hiring a Data & Reporting Analyst in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

This is a temporary, in-person role supporting a major HRIS implementation initiative. It is built for someone who understands HR data, reporting accuracy, system transitions and the quiet chaos that comes with enterprise change.

The right candidate will support project-based data and reporting needs while also helping maintain essential day-to-day HR reporting operations. Translation: you will help build the new system while keeping the current reporting engine from coughing up smoke. Important work. Very little room for guesswork.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented HR Data and Reporting Analyst to support our Human Resources function during a significant HRIS implementation initiative. This temporary role will play a critical dual function: providing hands-on support for project-based data and reporting needs while also backfilling essential operational reporting responsibilities to ensure continuity of service.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, experience working with HR data and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support HRIS implementation efforts by assisting with data validation, data migration, reporting design and system testing activities.
  • Partner with project teams to develop and refine reports, dashboards and analytics within the new HRIS environment.
  • Backfill day-to-day HR reporting operations, including recurring and ad hoc reporting requests to maintain business continuity.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistency across systems during the transition period.
  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to identify reporting requirements and translate them into actionable outputs.
  • Support process documentation, reporting standardization and data governance efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reporting processes during and after implementation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Data Analytics or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR analytics, reporting or a related role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas and data analysis.
  • Experience working with HR data, reporting tools and/or HR systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a project-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting HRIS implementations or system transitions.
  • Familiarity with Workday reporting, dashboards or data extraction strongly preferred.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, including Power BI.
  • Understanding of HR metrics, processes and data governance best practices.

Additional Information

  • This is a temporary role designed to provide support during a large-scale HRIS implementation.
  • The role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in enterprise system transformation efforts while maintaining critical HR operations.
  • The position includes exposure to cross-functional project work and senior HR stakeholders.
  • This role will be in person at 3700 W Juneau Ave. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
  • Current in-office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Daily hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Beginning September 14, Mondays will also be in person.
