Primary Purpose
Analyze and report data on a districtwide basis and serve as a resource to administrative personnel in expanding their use of data.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:Bachelor's degree in education, computer science, information technology, statistics, or related fieldSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Demonstrated strong work ethic, high level of reasoning capability, and close attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lead and support the data analysis projects for the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) programStrong relationship management skills and ability to work in a collaborative setting
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience or knowledge of the K-12 education systemFamiliarity with education software systems (eSchool, Eduphoria) and knowledge of K-12 assessments preferredDemonstrated skill in analytical reasoning and/or background in research, spreadsheets, and databasesAptitude for identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies in quantitative dataConceptual understanding of, and experience with, relational databases preferred
Experience in statistical modeling preferredStrong written and verbal communication skills Experience:Minimum 3 years of experience in education, computer science, information technology, statistics, or related fieldExperience manipulating data and developing reports
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Support District leadership in making evidence-based decisions by gathering, organizing, and assisting in the interpretation of data.
Lead the technical development and analysis of the District's Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program.
Develop District and campus reports for TIA which include student growth and T-TESS.Extract, validate, analyze, and visualize data from District databases.Respond to data requests by assessing customer needs and preparing appropriate reports.Assist districtwide administrative personnel with troubleshooting and development of spreadsheet solutions.Develop and conduct training on how to work with District data tools and/or trainings to support District data-related needs. Collaboratively work with District personnel to identify and resolve issues with data integrity.
Help lead and support the District's research review committee.
