What You Will Do

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models and statistical analyses to enhance the medication access workflow, including prior authorizations and pharmacy routing.
  • Identify patterns and insights within complex datasets that encompass insurance rules, drug data, and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to integrate data science solutions into production systems effectively.
  • Design and execute experiments to assess the effectiveness of new features and process improvements.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and analytical tools to support operational and product decisions.
  • Translate ambiguous business challenges into well-defined data science problems with measurable outcomes.
  • Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.

Ideal Candidate Background

  • 2–8 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied analytics.
  • Strong foundation in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R, with hands-on experience using data science libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, and NumPy.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from problem definition through to deployment in a collaborative environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare, health tech, insurtech, or a related regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data formats or systems, such as pharmacy claims or insurance eligibility.
  • Background in building and monitoring models in production environments.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this role ranges from $120K to $200K, reflecting the candidate's experience and expertise. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and impactful environment, contributing to meaningful advancements in healthcare access.
