Job Summary:
 
We are seeking an experienced Principal Data Scientist to design and develop predictive machine learning models, analyze large datasets, and deliver data-driven solutions that support business decisions. This role requires strong technical expertise and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and deploy predictive models using Python/PySpark.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends and insights.
  • Perform data preparation, feature engineering, and model optimization.
  • Develop reusable code, user interfaces, and analytical tools.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions.
 
Required Qualifications:
 
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of Data Science experience (or 2+ years with a PhD).
  • Strong experience with Python or PySpark.
  • Experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and data visualization.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
 
Preferred:
 
  • PhD in a related field.
  • Experience with AWS, Foundry, Agile, time series analysis, and causal inference.
  • Utility industry experience is a plus.
 
Compensation:
 
The hourly rate for this position is $156.00 per hour.
