Job Overview

We are seeking a business-oriented Data Scientist who can translate complex data into actionable insights that drive revenue, efficiency, and strategic decision-making. This role partners directly with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Marketing leaders to define KPIs, build predictive models, and measure business outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with business acumen and executive communication capability.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Partner with business leaders to define key performance metrics and measurable success criteria.

  • Conduct exploratory analysis to identify revenue drivers, cost opportunities, and operational inefficiencies.

  • Develop forecasting, segmentation, and predictive models to support planning and decision-making.

  • Design and evaluate A/B tests and experiments to measure business impact.

  • Translate analytical findings into clear executive-ready recommendations.

  • Build and maintain scalable dashboards and KPI reporting using BI tools.

  • Quantify financial impact and ROI of analytics initiatives.

  • Present insights to senior leadership and influence strategic direction.


The salary range is $140,000 - $166,000 annually.

Qualifications


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or related quantitative field

  • 5+ years of experience applying analytics to solve business problems (finance, operations, marketing, supply chain, etc.)

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and modeling

  • Experience with forecasting, segmentation, predictive modeling, and experimentation (A/B testing, hypothesis testing)

  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau

  • Experience quantifying the financial impact of analytics initiatives

  • Familiarity with cloud-based analytics platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar)

  • Experience applying machine learning techniques to structured and unstructured data to drive business insights

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze large datasets effectively

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate insights for non-technical stakeholders

  • Ability to manage priorities, work collaboratively, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
