Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Data Security Assessor for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate is responsible for evaluating GCP-based conversational AI platforms, cloud architecture, and data protection controls to ensure secure handling of sensitive business data.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $46/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Security Assessor Job Responsibilities include:

• Conduct security assessments of GCP-based conversational AI, API integrations, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise applications to identify risks and security gaps.

• Review and evaluate GCP security controls, including IAM, Shared VPC, network segmentation, service accounts, encryption, and access management.

• Assess sensitive data protection controls for PII, financial, payroll, supplier, and regulated customer data using DLP and DAM practices.

• Perform threat modeling, architecture reviews, and security analysis to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, architecture, and application teams to ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

• Prepare comprehensive security assessment reports, risk findings, remediation recommendations, and audit documentation while tracking corrective actions through completion.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 6-9 years of experience in Data Security, Cloud Security, Security Assessments, or Cybersecurity Governance/Risk & Compliance.

• Strong hands-on experience with GCP security services, including IAM, Shared VPC, Cloud Run, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud KMS, and Secret Manager, along with encryption, DLP, and DAM controls.

• Proven experience conducting security assessments of cloud-native and AI-driven environments, including conversational AI, APIs, data protection controls, threat modeling, risk assessments, and security architecture reviews.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $46.00 per hour
