Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Data Solutions Architect position! This is a 6+ months contract with expected conversion to FTE and will be remote within the US. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.
What You'll Be Doing:
Architect and deliver cloud-based data platforms (Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Kafka) and scalable data pipelines that enable advanced analytics and business intelligence across commercial banking domains
Design and implement ETL/ELT frameworks for ingesting, transforming, and integrating data from diverse sources, including legacy financial systems, SaaS platforms, and real-time data streams
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure all solutions adhere to architectural standards, reference models, and technology roadmaps while meeting financial targets
Lead deployment of data warehouses, lakehouses, and analytics sandboxes supporting business intelligence, machine learning, and reporting needs (Power BI, Snowflake)
Define and enforce data governance, metadata management, and data quality standards in accordance with regulatory requirements and enterprise architecture guidance
Drive technical evaluations and proof-of-concept projects for emerging data technologies (real-time analytics, data mesh, AI/ML platforms)
Guide Agile/DevOps teams in implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code for data solutions
Produce comprehensive technical documentation including architecture diagrams, data flow maps, security models, and operational runbooks for solution handoff
Partner with domain leadership and subject matter experts across commercial lending and treasury management to understand business drivers and translate them into scalable solution designs
Participate in governance activities and evaluate quality and compliance of delivered solutions to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards
What You'll Need to Have:
5+ years of solution architecture or technical implementation experience, with 2+ years focused on data engineering or enterprise data platforms
Strong expertise in commercial banking products and services, particularly across commercial lending and treasury management domains
Hands-on experience designing and deploying cloud-native data platforms using Azure/AWS/GCP, with proficiency in Databricks, Kafka, and modern data technologies
Proven ability to develop ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipelines for both real-time and batch processing environments
Solid understanding of data governance, data quality management, metadata management, and regulatory compliance requirements (GDPR, CCPA)
Experience with containerization (Kubernetes), microservices architecture, and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines
Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; AWS/Azure Solutions Architect or Certified Data Engineer certification preferred
