The experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific intensive training, for example, IT certification, as appropriate. To qualify for the 2210 IT Specialist series, the applicant must demonstrate the following competencies: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Applicants for the GS-13 position must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled, that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such IT-related experience must include: Contributing to the design, development, testing, and support of Management Information Systems (MI) and Business Intelligence (BI) applications and data environments. Developing and maintaining ETL solutions and database architectures using technologies such as SQL, PL, PGSQL, PostgreSQL, Greenplum, SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, Ab Initio, Linux, shell scripting, Crontab, and mainframe JCL. Supporting the implementation and maintenance of WebFOCUS reporting solutions. Communicating Business Intelligence concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
