Data Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Data Specialist is responsible for collecting, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting organizational data to support program operations, grant reporting, quality improvement, compliance, and informed decision-making. This position works collaboratively with leadership and program staff to ensure data is accurate, complete, and submitted in accordance with organizational, funding, and regulatory requirements.

The Data Specialist develops and maintains data tracking systems, validates and analyzes data, prepares reports, and supports compliance and quality improvement initiatives by ensuring reliable data is readily available for operational and reporting needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect, enter, maintain, validate, and analyze organizational data while developing spreadsheets, databases, dashboards, and other tracking tools to support operational, grant, and program needs.
• Prepare recurring reports for leadership, funding agencies, accreditation activities, audits, and organizational performance monitoring.

• Collaborate with program staff to collect and verify required data, support grant reporting, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance activities, and assist with documentation for audits and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, communicating discrepancies and assisting departments in maintaining high-quality documentation and reporting standards.

• Support data management within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other organizational software systems, including data validation, system updates, and reporting functions.
• Work collaboratively with administrative, clinical, finance, billing, and program staff while providing guidance on data collection procedures, reporting expectations, and documentation standards.
• Collect follow-up information from clients including surveys and exit interviews.
