Job SummaryThe University of Kentucky is seeking a Data Support Specialist to support the disease/condition surveillance and case investigation team within the department. This position sits at the intersection of data integrity, reporting, and operational support, helping ensure case information is accurate, timely, complete, and aligned with departmental needs.
What You’ll Do
* Provide all aspects of active and passive case surveillance to satisfy case reporting requirements of the CDC, including maintaining and updating case records and data entry.
* Communicate with partners to complete case investigations including other departments/sections within Kentucky Department for Public Health (KDPH), other surveillance jurisdictions, medical providers and community partners.
* Resolve case investigations with other jurisdictions.
* Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Support colleagues in daily activities, patient investigations as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
