Job Description:
The Data Systems Coordinator assists the Pharmacy team with development and maintenance of reporting, data analysis, assisting with projects, investigating and resolving operations inquiries for audits, discrepancies and system access to the automated dispensing cabinets (ADC) as well as Certified Pharmacy Technician duties. These duties will be performed under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Manager.
- Manages system access to the facility's automated dispensing cabinets (ADC).
- Assists with the management of stock inventory, location, loading and unloading product within the ADC.
- Membership on the Pharmacy Pyxis Team
- Monitors reports on a regular basis concerning over-ridden medication and controlled substance usage.
- Provides investigational review of medication related incident reports including controlled substances.
- Collaborates and communicates with nursing and departmental leadership concerning investigations.
- Distributes controlled substances to patient care areas and maintains the necessary records associated with this responsibility.
- Participates in inventory management activities including but not limited to ordering, receiving, monitoring inventory levels, and stock rotation.
- Assists in maintaining established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, and records consistent with regulations and standards governing the practice of pharmacy.
- Collaborates with other departments to maintain pharmacy and hospital operations.
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent. College degree preferred.
- Computer training in Excel, Word, Access, Crystal Reporting, Mini-Tab, AS400, previous OR experience preferred.
Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible up to 10 pounds amount of force often.
