KSTA I.T is actively seeking a Data Warehouse Architect foran immediate contract engagement with our government client.

 

Work Location: This position is Hybrid

 

Job Description:

We Are Seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Architect to provide technical leadership, administration, and strategic support for a large-scale enterprise data warehouse environment. This role is responsible for architecting, administering, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise data warehouse platforms while ensuring high availability, security, performance, and scalability. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise with the Teradata ecosystem, ETL processes, Linux/Unix environments, cloud technologies, disaster recovery planning, and enterprise data management, with the ability to collaborate across technical teams and support mission-critical analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

Responsibilities:

·         Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise data warehouse platforms across production, development, disaster recovery, and test environments.

·         Manage and support the full Teradata ecosystem, including upgrades, provisioning, software maintenance, patch management, and vendor coordination.

·         Monitor overall platform health, system performance, resource utilization, and capacity planning to ensure optimal availability and reliability.

·         Administer Teradata Viewpoint, Teradata Tools and Utilities (TTU), Platform Service Intelligent Monitoring (PSIM), workload management, backup, and recovery processes.

·         Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes to support enterprise reporting, analytics, and data integration initiatives.

·         Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Perl, Python, and related scripting technologies.

·         Perform performance tuning, workload balancing, and resource optimization across enterprise data warehouse environments.

·         Provide operating system administration and technical guidance within Unix/Linux environments.

·         Research, evaluate, and implement long-term enterprise data warehouse strategies and platform improvements.

·         Collaborate with database administrators, data architects, developers, business stakeholders, and vendors to support enterprise data initiatives.

·         Develop implementation plans for infrastructure enhancements, software upgrades, and platform modernization efforts.

·         Support disaster recovery planning, business continuity initiatives, and enterprise backup strategies.

·         Ensure enterprise data warehouse environments comply with security standards, audit requirements, and regulatory frameworks.

·         Assist with cloud infrastructure planning, resource allocation, networking, and hybrid cloud integration initiatives.

·         Troubleshoot complex platform, infrastructure, and database issues while providing advanced technical support.

·         Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, architecture documentation, and system standards.

·         Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise to enterprise database administrators and technical teams.

Required Skills:

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

·         8+ years of experience administering and supporting Teradata database environments.

·         Extensive experience with Teradata Tools and Utilities (TTU), Teradata Viewpoint, workload management, and PSIM administration.

·         Strong experience performing Teradata software upgrades, provisioning, vendor maintenance, and platform administration.

·         Extensive experience with Teradata backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

·         8+ years of experience optimizing database performance, workload management, and resource utilization.

·         Strong experience designing, developing, and supporting ETL solutions.

·         Advanced scripting experience using Bash, Perl, Python, Glink, or similar scripting languages.

·         Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and system administration.

·         Experience supporting enterprise-scale data warehouse environments with high-volume analytics and reporting workloads.

·         Experience monitoring platform health, troubleshooting performance issues, and maintaining system availability.

·         Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

·         Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Experience with cloud computing platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.

·         Knowledge of cloud resource allocation, networking, and hybrid cloud architectures.

·         Experience supporting enterprise security, audits, and compliance initiatives.

·         Knowledge of federal security and compliance frameworks, including NIST 800-53, IRS Publication 1075, SSA, Medicaid, and related regulatory requirements.

·         Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data warehouse modernization initiatives.

·         Experience providing technical leadership, architectural guidance, and mentorship to database administrators and enterprise technology teams.
