Database Administrator

Overview:

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Database Administrator to design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure. This position will be located in Fort Meade, MD and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities:

The Database Administrator (Data Platform Engineer) establishes the data ingest and ELT environment required to transform autonomous pentesting outputs into structured, AI-ready datasets. This role designs schemas, metadata structures, and access controls; enables secure ingestion from the Horizon3.ai NodeZero platform; and ensures data integrity, performance, and scalability. Establishing this data foundation during IOC is critical to preserving high-quality, production-derived data that will support AI model training and analytics during follow-on implementation.

• Design and implement data ingest schemas and metadata structures
• Enable ELT pipelines from autonomous pentesting data sources
• Ensure data integrity, performance, and secure access controls
• Support data readiness for future AI training

Qualifications:

High School with 9+ years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

• Clearance Required: TS/SCI CI Poly
• 9+ years of experience with cloud data platforms, databases, or lakehouse architectures
• Familiarity with ELT workflows and large-scale data ingestion
• Experience managing secure data pipelines including automated ingestion and transformation workflows
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II (Sec+CE, SSCP, CND, CCNA Security, etc)
