We're seeking a senior Database Administrator IV with deep RDBMS experience, strong ETL development skills, and Python expertise to architect, optimize, and support complex database environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior database professional who enjoys designing enterprise-scale database solutions while serving as a trusted technical advisor and mentor within a collaborative technology organization.

What You'll Do

  • Architect and administer enterprise Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) solutions.
  • Design, develop, and support SSIS ETL processes and database integrations.
  • Develop Python scripts to automate database administration, monitoring, and operational tasks.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable database solutions.
  • Lead database enhancements, migrations, performance tuning, and production support initiatives.
  • Optimize database performance, reliability, scalability, backup, and recovery processes.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide long-term technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with application teams, architects, infrastructure engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Lead testing efforts for database changes and ensure successful implementation.
  • Mentor junior database professionals and provide technical leadership across projects.
  • Support regulatory compliance, audit requirements, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Evaluate emerging database technologies and recommend improvements to enterprise platforms.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of enterprise RDBMS/database engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with SSIS, ETL development, and Python.
  • Experience supporting Mainframe-integrated database environments.
  • Expertise in database architecture, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Experience leading complex database upgrades, conversions, and enterprise initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Banking or financial services database experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise banking applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple RDBMS platforms and operating systems.
  • Experience with CAPPM or comparable project portfolio management tools.
  • Proven mentoring and technical leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of database governance, security, and regulatory compliance.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
